Hi I'm Alicia

I'm a wife of six years and a mommy to two beautiful girls ages four & two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado. My husband grew up in Alaska. We met each other while attending college in Hawaii. After finishing college we moved to Arizona. Hooray for the warm weather! I love to read and travel. My family means everything to me. Combine all three-reading and traveling WITH my family and I am a happy person!

Why I am a Mormon

I remember the experience I had when I truly understood for the first time that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he loves me. It was the most wonderful feeling in the world to fully recognize and believe that. From that moment I have had an unwavering faith in His gospel. Since becoming a mother I feel an even greater desire to follow the Savior and live His gospel. It's a scary world we live in and I am grateful to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life guiding me as a parent; Helping me with the small, daily decisions I make as a mother and wife and helping me in times when either I or my family is facing trials or is struggling. I know that Christ lives and loves us and watches over us. He will help us in our times of need if we turn to Him.

How I live my faith

I feel like my most important role is to teach my faith to my little girls. As I teach them the principles of His gospel I am planting the seed for them to grow up to be productive citizens, neighbors, friends, and parents. We need more honest and good people in the world. I'm also actively involved in reaching out to those in our community who are lonely and/or need help. Each month I visit a local retirement community and enjoy bringing my two young daughters with me. They always seem to bring a smile to the residents' faces. In particular I visit a 92 year old woman who has taught me so much about the important things in life. I find it fulfilling following in the Savior's footsteps and serving those around me.
