Hi I'm Heather

I love my family, I love to cook, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother to 3 darling children. I'm lucky enough to stay at home with my children on a daily basis. Being a Stay At Home Mom is a full time job but one that I love. I have a passion for cooking, especially baking. I love to combine many ingredients and make them into something different different from what I started with.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my family were all members of the Church, we didn't go very often. While in my teen years I felt very lost and alone. Through the help of some wonderful people I started to go to church more often. Through going to church I found the love of Christ, and in finding that I found myself. Even when times get tough I know there is someone that knows what I am going through, he has been there. And because he has, he knows how to comfort me in ways no one else can. I have a testimony that The Father and His Son did appear to Joseph Smith and restored Christs church in its fullness. I don't know where I would be in my life if I didn't have this knowledge. I know that my Savior and Father in Heaven love me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by loving and teaching my children every day. I also am able to serve at church. I have the opportunity to teach preteens at church. I feel so grateful for the opportunity to serve these children, and help them to know that their Savior and Father in Heaven love them. I also have the privilege to visit with some of the older women in their homes. Its wonderful to get to know them and be able to learn from their experiences in life. I am able to help plan weekday meetings for the women as well. I am thankful for the things that I learn while helping plan lessons and meetings that will help the women at church feel the love of Christ.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

As someone who didn't attend often as a child, I can relate to this question. I was scared to go once I decided to start going to church again. Anyone can attend our church meetings. There are always people there to welcome you, and if your like I was and don't have anyone to sit with there are many people who will tell you to come sit by them. We love to make friends! We have hymns, prayers, and speakers. We also partake of the sacrament, just like Jesus instituted with his apostles, of bread and water. There are classes held after Sacrament meeting, for the different age groups and later for Young Women, Women, Young Men and Men. Show more Show less
