Hi I'm Steve Andrus

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Husband and Father of 5 wonderful kids. I have 2 boys and 3 girls. Our oldest son is currently serving a mission in Spokane Washington for 2 years. I have worked in the Pest Control Industry for over 20 years and currently own a Pest Control Company. I enjoy building things and have built one of our homes from start to finish. I enjoy golfing whenever I can and love to take trips to Rocky Point Mexico with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in a mormon family, There came a time in my life when I wanted to know for myself if the teachings I grew up with were true. Prior to serving a mission for the church I began to question if I trully believed. Most of my life I was told that anyone could know for themselves, all they needed to do was to Study the Book of Mormon and then ask God if it was true. By doing so we could recieve an answer through his spirit. As often as I was told this, It suddenly became real to me knowing that I would be teaching it to others. It was at that point that I took the challange to heart and did recieve a witness for myself.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best Citizen I can possibly be to my friends, family and to the community. Because my family is the most important thing to me we take time out of our busy schedules to be with each other as much as possible. I have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of callings in the church that has helped me grow closer to my Heavenly Father. I enjoy helping and serving others in my church and the community. I have participated in many service projects personally and with groups including taking a youth group to mexico to help build houses for the habitat for humanity. I have a testimony of the Atonement and have witnesed its ability to heal the broken hearted and give us hope.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Steve Andrus
When Jesus Christ lived on the earth, He organized his church so that all people could receive his gospel and return to live with God. After Jesus Christ died, he was resurrected and ascended to heaven, His apostles continued to receive revelation from him through the Holy Ghost on how to direct the work of his church. However, after they were killed, members changed the teachings of the church that he had established. While many good people and some truth remained, this Apostasy, or general falling away from the truth, brought about the withdrawal of the church from the earth. The Apostle Peter prophesied that Jesus would restore his church before his Second Coming. Jesus Christ began to restore his church in its fulness to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1820. It has grown to become a worldwide Church with over 13 million members. It has the same teachings and basic organization as the church established by Jesus in New Testament times. Show more Show less
