Hi I'm Nancy

I have 6 kids. I grew up in California, Belgium, Italy and England, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a grandma to Olivia, Axel and Wesley and I love it! I love to thrift store shop and I love to read! I graduated from Brigham Young University in 1982 with a degree in Speech Pathology and have owned a restaurant with my husband and his brother & sister-in-law, in Provo, UT; Los Hermanos. I have 6 great kids, 2 great sons-in-law and a great daughter-in-law! I have a son on a mission in Guadalajara Mexico currently in Puerto Vallarta. I love to be with family! I enjoy going to lunch with my friends. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the truths taught to me throughout my life such as eternal families! I want to be with my family forever and I know through this church I can do that! I am a Mormon because I love the teachings found in the Book of Mormon that help me to understand the Bible more clearly. I am a Mormon because I love the Savior and want to become more like him!

How I live my faith

I live my religion by attending my Sunday meetings, by teaching my children about the gospel of Christ, by attending the temple where we can be brought together as eternal families to live together forever. I strive to be the best I can be and when I go to church I fulfill my responsibilities. I try to be a good example to my friends, members and non members, by dressing modestly, using clean language and answering any questions I can about my religion.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Nancy
Church members wear their best to church on Sunday and stay away from being too casual like not wearing flip flops to church. We also celebrate most holidays like anyone else. On Sundays we strive to live the commandment that says to keep the Sabbath day holy and so if a holiday, such as Halloween, falls on a Sunday, we don't usually participate in the traditional celebrations. We may do something earlier. We also love to dance and sing and we appreciate the arts. Show more Show less
