Hi I'm Teresa

I was raised in a small farming community on the New Mexico/Arizona state line. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have four children, including two step-children. I was a secondary English teacher for eleven years. This past summer, I accepted a position as an educational technology trainer. I still work in public education, but my focus now is on training teachers on how to incorporate 21st century technology skills into their curriculum. I am loving every minute of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two loving parents who are both active members of the church. I was baptized and confirmed a member of the church at the age of eight. After college, I went through a period of inactivity. Although I did not attend church regulary, I always knew the church was true and desired to have all the blessings I knew It could provide. I met my husband during this period of inactivity and after 3 1/2 years of courtship, we were married civily. I began attending church regularly and four months after we were married, I attended Women's Conference at BYU.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the humanitarian specialist for our ward. This is a new calling for me, but I am excited about being a part of something our church is known for world-wide - humanitarian aid. I also serve as a visiting teacher. I, along with a companion, are assigned to visit at least three other women in the ward at least once a month. We form friendships, deliver a spiritual message, and serve these women in whatever capacity is needed.
