Hi I'm Faie

I am a mother of six. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My background is in music education and I taught school until my first child was born. Since then I have been a full time mother. I like to hike and bike. When my 4th child was 9 yrs old he was struck by a car and killed. Six year later I lost my husband. My faith in God was never stronger than in those times. I felt His arm around me holding me up and comforting me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS home to parents who were partially active. As I attended church I felt the spirit of the Lord. It was a warm, peaceful feeling in my heart and it urged me to be kind and good. I knew that I wanted that feeling to be a part of my life always. As the years go by I see how the Lord has blessed me. When my son was killed He walked side by side with me and He spoke peace to my soul. I was led to know that my son was with his Heavenly Father and that he was happy and busy. I know also that I will not only see him again but that we will be together as a family in the hereafter.

How I live my faith

I continue to try my best to live a good Christian life. I work with the youth at church. Our girls 12 - 18 are enrolled in what we call the Young Women program. I get to plan some of the activities such as girls camps and regional dances, musical numbers and choirs. We organize service projects and play a little softball and volleyball. I like to do family history research. I have been able to find the names of quite a few ancesters. My family gets together often to play and enjoy holidays together. I am committed to having a strong family. Now seven little grandchildren gather around our table.
