Hi I'm Jessica

I have lived in Utah my entire life, and will be graduating soon with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very energetic, happy, hyper, red head! I love spending time with my friends and family. We usually just do the simple things like play a games or watching movies. I love these times because they provide a lot of time to talk and catch up. I grew up in Utah and have been a member of the LDS church my entire life. I participated in choir in high school and LOVE music. I have an uncle and cousin with disabilities and have worked with many other people with disabilities throughout my life. These experiences inspired my career choice which is Special Education with a specialization in Early Childhood. I am in my senior year of college and CAN NOT WAIT to get out and start working with these kiddos!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I know it is true! I was born into the gospel but have come to gain my own testimony of it. The Holy Ghost has testified to my time and time again that the gospel is true. I know that the only way to true and everlasting happiness is to live the teachings of the gospel and keep the commandments that our Heavenly Father has given to us in these latter-days. Two years ago my parents separated and many trials have followed. There have been multiple times throughout these years where I know, with out a doubt that my Heavenly Father has placed his hand in my life and helped my family and I when we needed it most. There have been many times where solutions to our problems seemed impossible and modern day miracles have occurred. People have been placed in our lives for a reason. I'm grateful that they were prompted by the Holy Ghost and that they were willing to follow those promptings. Being a member of this church has only blessed my life. I'm so grateful to be part of of the restored gospel!

How I live my faith

Right now my calling in the church is to work with the Institute women. The Institute is located on my college campus and is a place where students can come and take courses that teach about the gospel. In my calling we do weekly activities with the girls. We have a variety of activities. Some are spiritual and others are just for fun. We do crafts, service projects, and do our best to create a fun atmosphere where girls can come and feel welcome

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Thomas S. Monson is the current president and prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I love him! If you listen to him speak you will know by the power of the Holy Ghost that he speaks the words and teachings that our Heavenly Father wants us to know. He is a great man and a true man of God. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We do not worship Joseph Smith. He was a great man and an instrument of God to restore the true and everlasting gospel to the earth. We love and respect him as a prophet of God. We worship our Heavenly Father and his beloved son Jesus Christ. Through Joseph Smith we were able to gain the knowledge of how we can become clean through our Savior and work to make it back to live with our Heavenly Father again. Show more Show less
