Hi I'm Tanner Call

I love to laugh, I'm a twin, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 21-year old twin with four brothers (including my twin) and the son of two amazing parents. I was one of three valedictorians of my high school, from which I graduated in 2011. I served as an LDS missionary in Brazil from 2011 to 2013, in which I grew to love the people, food, and culture. Although I'm 6'6'', tennis, volleyball, and ultimate frisbee are the only sports I'm really decent at. It may seem like I'm good at basketball, but I'm not. I'm terrible.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many others on this site, I was raised in the LDS church. Also like many others who have been members their whole lives, I lived off the testimony of my parents and church leaders in the early years of my youth. I do not believe in this gospel because it makes sense or because it's the only one I know, but because I have prayed, studied, and felt the Spirit tell me that it is true. I consider myself a deep-thinker, at times, and all the questions that I have asked about life, and the purpose of it, have been answered not only with knowledge from the church but also by the Holy Ghost witnessing to me of its truthfulness. This gospel and my dedication to it brings me great joy and happiness. I look forward to serving a mission and being able to bring that joy into the lives of those I'm serving, meeting and getting married for time and all eternity to the woman that I love, and being a father. Although life has its trials and hard times, the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has, and will, get me through them with the knowledge that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know and love me and want what's best for me. I look for any opportunity to be able to share the peace and joy that comes from that knowledge.

How I live my faith

As I said before, I leave for my mission in Joao Pessoa, Brazil on November 16, 2011 and look forward to bring this wonderful message to God's children there. I live my faith by simply living the doctrines of the Church. I know that they are given to us from God to allow us the greatest amount of joy and happiness that we can have in this life. Almost every action and decision that I make is based on the moral foundation that the Church has helped me develop. I try my best to not only live my faith through my example, but by helping friends going through hard times with the knowledge that their Heavenly Father and Savior love them.
