Hi I'm Joseph

I'm a Mormon. I work at a pool and go to school full time.

About Me

I just returned from a mission in California and am working full time at a pool. I also go to school I am studying education and hope to go into administration. I like biking, running, and anything with water. I also love to be outside in nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member. At one point I did start questioning what I believed and why I believed it. Over time of reading the scriptures and comparing the Bible and Book of Mormon I gained a knowledge of what is true. It was very important for me to gain my own beliefs. While I was on my mission those beliefs were constantly challenged and questioned. The best answer I have is that I know that this church is true because God has given me an answer to prayer. It didn't come right away or in some shocking vision, but it came from many different times where the Spirit told made me feel it was right and good. Since gaining my initial beliefs I have continued to learn more about God's love for me and for the rest of the world. I have learned he loves everyone and that we are all His Children. I love having constant access to God and what he wants me to know. Prayer is so essential to our lives. We need that communication, to build a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Sometimes life gets really hard and we get really discouraged. The best thing I have found is to read the scriptures or to listen to an article from living Apostles and Prophets today. I love how religion is so personal how we don't need anyone but God but that he gives us people around us to help us all work to a common goal of returning to live with him after this life. I know that is true and that God really does look out for us.

How I live my faith

On my mission I had the opportunity to see everyday miracles. One was that I was able to learn Spanish in just a few months; I had already tried taking two years of Spanish and had failed. It was one way God showed his love for me. As a college student who works full time I don't have much time for anything. One thing I have made a priority is reading scriptures and praying. It is always gives me a boost that helps me get through the week. I also enjoy hanging out with other college students that have similar values we have a church group that I help with and we are able to have fun in college while avoiding all the negatives, alcohol and drugs. Another thing that is important to me is doing service and finding ways to help people.
