Hi I'm Mikayla Fleming

I love going on adventures and learning sign language. I am a Full-Time Missionary in California and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of six kids, and my family means everything to me. I love to play sports; my favorite is volleyball. I love to sing, play the flute and play the piano. I love camping and sitting by the fire with my family. I am a Disney fanatic. I love Mickey Mouse! I love going on adventures and seeing places that I have never been before. I hate being cooped up inside. I love the sun! Summer is my favorite time of the year. I enjoy working as a provider for a little girl with special needs who has changed my life completely. Currently, I am a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the California Sacramento Mission. I love sharing the joy the gospel brings to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised LDS by my parents who were great examples to me. However, I have gained my own testimony by reading the scriptures, praying to know if the church is true and exercising my faith. I am a Mormon not because my parents forced me to be and not because of obligation, but simply because I love the Lord and this is His gospel. Heavenly Father has provided us with this marvelous Plan of Salvation so that we can return home to Him someday. I want to return home to my Maker and have Him say, "Well done my good and faithful servant." I am a Mormon because I know this is a troubled world and if we are to stay strong, it is the only way to combat the influences of the world. I love being a part of this church because of the peace, happiness, and joy it brings to my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what Heavenly Father has asked me to do. We are asked to pray, read the scriptures, to attend church, and to repent daily. We live our faith by doing those simple things everyday. Right now, I am fulfilling a mission, which is what the Lord had in mind for me. I try everyday to be an example of the believers in word and in deed. Living my faith and being a missionary go hand in hand. I need His strength if I am to perform the things we need to do. Everyday I strive to emulate the Savior and am working on being a better Disciple of Christ. I wake up every morning, thankful that I have the blessing of being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
