Hi I'm Kim

I live in central Florida in a horse community where everywhere you go there are horse farms. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love living in Ocala. I have grown children who live in other areas so I stay busy working in Real Estate as a Broker with my own company. I also do Real Estate appraisals. I live in an area where horse farms are very prevalent which is why I moved here. I love being immersed in the horse community and have many friends who also love horses. I love music and have written songs that I am currently in the process of having recorded for publishing. I also love to read and typically have 4 or more books going at one time on my nightstand. Traveling is also a fun thing, however; due to a large variety of animals and living on a farm, I find it difficult to travel as much as I would like. .

Why I am a Mormon

I became a church member at the age of 18 after being very confused with my faith at the time. I had decided to attend numerous churches and study religion in general. I knew I wanted to be a good person and so I decided I wanted a more structured lifestyle that included religious worship. I found many of the churches i attended to be uplifting but still I felt there was something missing. A close personal friend gave me a book called "A Marvelous Work and a Wonder ". As I began reading it I was introduced to the Joseph Smith Story about his vision. I immediately decided to take the challenge to ask God if these things I was learning were true. A comforting warmth that I now know as the spirit washed over me and I felt a strong impression that this was absolutely true. I was baptized 37 years ago and now I know after many years of living the commandments and striving to be a better person that it is more true than that day. The church provides the structure I needed and the family life I wanted.

How I live my faith

At this time I am teaching the Bible (Old Testament) to all of the youth that attend High school in our area. It is called Seminary. In order to teach them bright and early every School morning, I have to study and prepare extensively the day before. It can be a challenge but is very rewarding. I get to teach wonderful stories about all the great heroes like Adam, Eve, Joseph, Abraham and on and on. They inspire me to work harder at being kind, compassionate and serving others. Today we learned about ways to avoid temptation with Joseph being the prime character. I can see the Aha moments in the eyes of these youth who will go on to make correct choices and become productive citizens within our communities someday. I also have opportunities to serve some of the Women in our area as we are each assigned to watch over one another. When a need is brought to our attention, we immediately step in and do all we can to help. sometimes it's taking a dinner to a sick Mom, watching her kids while she goes to the Doctor or maybe we visit as a friend and share our companionship. It's a great way to live.
