Hi I'm Carlene

I'm the wife of a retired military man. I'm a mother and grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I received a BS degree in Business Administration. I love to organize and delegate. I like playing the piano and all kinds of handwork - knitting, crochet, sewing, quilting, etc. I also enjoy doing geneology and research for my husband's family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had many challenges in my life and always knew that the Lord loves me and is nearby to comfort me and strengthen me. As a child I had polio and was almost completely paralized. The doctors said that I would never walk. Through prayer and hard work I can walk. The doctors also said that I probably wouldn't be able to have children, yet I was able to give birth to 3 daughters. I enjoy reading and studying the scriptures and attending the temple where I can feel calm and set my goals and priorities for my life.

How I live my faith

I taught the children at church for over 20 years and served with the Boy Scouts of America Organization. For 8 years I enjoyed teaching an early morning class of teenagers. I dedicated my time and talents as the director for the Family History Center in our town for 10 years and was able to help members and many of those who were not of our faith to find more information about their ancestors. I now concentrate my time and energy on my husband and grandchildrens' interests and their activities. Family is everything to me. They visit us often and help us when they can.
