Hi I'm Letty

I'm a Mormon. I live in Alaska. I became a member of the LDS Church at the age of 55 in 2011.

About Me

I own 5 dogs and two horses. I love to sew and do other crafts. I am very happily married and have 3 beautiful children, 6 grandchildren, and currently 1 great granddaughter. I also love baking and I have started some cake decorating for fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I attented the LDS Church only once when I was around 17 and was not made very welcome so I never returned. My parents for some reason never went or talked about the LDS faith either. I was sent to a Protestant Church as a child. In April of 2011 I was feeling that something was missing in my life. A good friend told me that she knew that I should go to her church. I was not totally unfamiliar with the church, I grew up with the Visiting Teachers coming to my home to speak with my parents. You see, I come from a long line of Mormons through history. When I visited the LDS church in April, I was welcomed with open arms. I was introduced to the missionaries and immediately began my lessons.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life in the manner in which my Father in Heaven would want me to. I support the LDS Church completely. I recieved my first calling just a couple of weeks after my baptism and now I love being an active part of the Relief Society as the RS Activities Assistant Chair. This duty provides a planned monthly activity that the women get together for fun, games, food, sharing, and a spiritual message. I also love doing my visiting teaching and spending time with my sisters. I love sharing my new found faith with my family.
