Hi I'm Corinne

I am a full time college student. I am a daughter, sister, and friend. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi there! My name is Corinne.. you may be asking your self, how do you say that name? No it is not Core-eeeeen, and no it is not Corina either.. its Cuhhh-rinn; But you can just say Crinn. :) I grew up in a very small rural town in Northern New York. Right now, I am currently going to college in Eastern Idaho, going to Brigham Young University. I just got married June 16th and I couldn't be happier!! I absolutley love playing volleyball! This is the one and only sport I've ever really been good at. Some other things I like to do would include hiking, swimming, fishing, biking, reading, singing, and my favorite.. dancing! I love my family... right now we are a little broken up, and very small, but I love them all none the less. I have a mother and two sisters. My father passed away when I was 8 years old. My sister Tiffany is 22 and my sister Lizzy is 15, I'm sandwiched in the middle at 20 :)

Why I am a Mormon

When I first learned of the LDS church, I actually really didn't like it AT ALL! I really wanted nothing to do with religion. I was fine living my life with the moto "If there is a God, great. And if there isn't, well that's okay too." But little by little all of my questions about religions and God(s) starting being answered. Not just through answers from the missionaries, but answers I found in scriptures, and answers I've received through my own personal prayer. It was really shocking to me of how much I could start to see Heavenly Fathers hand in my life. The feelings I felt while praying for the first time are ones so precious to me. I know that they are feelings that I never experienced in my whole life, and better yet, I knew exactly where they were coming from. One night I laid in my bed and simply took the invitation that the Book of Mormon gave me. That if I asked God with a sincere heart if this gospel were true, that I would receive and answer. I really didn't think it would happen, but now it is something I cannot deny.I know without a doubt in my mind that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that there is a prophet living today just like in the Bible. We also have 12 apostles just like Christ had. The Book of Mormon is the word of God specifically saved for people to read in this day and age. I know that Christ lived, died, and was resurrected to pay the sins of the world, and to provide a way for us to return to our Father in Heaven. I love this Gospel. I love my Heavenly Father and Savoir Jesus Christ. I know that they love me, and are aware of me in my life, and know everything about me. Please feel the sincerity in my words, and know that this truly is The Gospel of Jesus Christ. The full gospel has been restored, and it just takes some faith to really come to know the things that I know to be true.

How I live my faith

Honestly, I live my faith day by day. Each day is a new day.. some good and others not so great. The one thing that keeps me going no matter what happens, is knowing my Father in Heaven loves me and is in complete control of my life. I know that when trials come, its him blessing me with a refiners fire to try and evoke the God like attributes I must develop. I am so grateful for my trials because I know that is how I've developed so many of the wonderful qualities and characterisics I know have. I live my faith by trying my best for that day, moment by moment. I always try to focus on the big picture that if I live by my faith day by day I will be able to return to my Father in Heaven once again. More specifically how I live my faith, I do certain things to help my testimony of this gospel grow. Things I love the most like reading scriptures from the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. These are all scripture I know to be factually scriptures writen by prophets to help give me basically a map or instructions of how to return Home :) I also strive to attend every Church meeting, and always go to Church every Sunday. My husband and I also make an effort to go to an LDS temple once a week. These places are the holiest places on Earth, and where I feel closest to the Lord Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. We go here to make an keep sacred covenants, and also to remind ourselves of the promises we've made to Heavenly Father. They are all so wonderful.
