Hi I'm Calli

I am from Las Vegas. I am applying for the Communications program at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. I absolutely love the challenges of college. They have helped me learn and grow in all aspects of my life. Being a student hasn't been easy; work, homework, church, and a social life can be hard to balance. However, the experience and knowledge I have gained throughout this period of my life have been totally worth the struggle. In addition to being in school I have been involved/am involved in several garage bands which has definitely been a great outlet during the hard times. Singing is a great way for me to mute out the world and re-focus. I also love the outdoors-camping, hunting, fishing, and the like! When I am outside I feel free-free to run, jump, and be myself.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church has been such an amazing blessing in my life! The members are always ready and willing to comfort, help, and serve me whenever I need it. Wherever I go, I already have hundreds of friends. Being a member of the church is more than just being involved in a religion. It makes you part of our large family that is spread over the entire world. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know that it is a true account! I know that if you take the time to read and ponder the book you will know of it's truthfulness. The Mormon church is the only church that offers the promise of an eternal family. Because of the covenants I have made by being baptized, and will make in the future when I go to the temple, I am able to be sealed to my family for time and all eternity. I love my family more than anything in this world! To know that I will be with them forever is such an amazing feeling! I am Mormon because I have pondered the gospel, read the scriptures, and felt the spirit testify that it is true.

How I live my faith

I go to church with single adults my age--all Mormon. I have met so many friends at church! I hold a calling in my ward, I am on our missionary committee. I enjoy organizing activities for non-members and investigators. My favorite thing to do is share the gospel. I live my faith by spreading the gospel, being a friend to all members and non members, and being an example of a daughter of God. I am not perfect, but I try my hardest to be the best that I can
