Hi I'm Erin

I'm a creative twenty-something with 5 kids and a husband (whoa busy!) who loves the mountains! And...I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I am a designer at heart and find great satisfaction in creating something that makes people smile, whether it be a meal, that perfect Halloween costume, or a handout for church. I also enjoy capturing God's creations with my camera, especially the unique details that are so often missed by passersby. I love to read and enjoy Iearning just for the sake of learning (who knew business law was so interesting?) But I find the most joy in being a wife and mother and using my talents to make our house a true home.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents were converted to the gospel as young adults so I was blessed to be born into a home where His gospel was taught and practiced. I was a very trusting child and didn't doubt that my parents had a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My own personal conversion was certainly not dramatic, nor did it need to be. In my teen years, as all my friends were learning for themselves whether or not what they had been taught all their lives was true, I also asked the Lord if this church was His church and if the Book of Mormon was truly the word of God. In short, I was looking for truth. My answer came with the simple peace that only the Holy Ghost give. I didn't need to go out and look for truth because Heavenly Father had already given it to me. As I keep putting one step in front of the other in the right direction I have come to know each member of the Godhead very distinctly and personally.

How I live my faith

I do my best to be an example of my faith by watching for opportunities to make another one of God's children happy and by simply doing what I'm asked to do. I may not know what I'm doing but I'm willing! A willing heart often goes a long way. :) I just started working with the cub scouting program and I am enjoy those exuberant boys. My oldest son is a cub scout and it is fun to share that experience with him.
