Hi I'm Preston

I am an artist, I like the outdoors, I have an identical twin brother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 7 children in the family. I have a twin brother who looks a lot like me, and we are best friends. I like to build things with my hands and I like physical activity. I wrestled for 6 years and competed in district and state tournaments. Wrestling was one of the best things I ever did, but I will never cut weight again like I did then. I have competed with my art winning awards in state fairs and other contests. I like rock climbing, camping, hiking, and other things. I am in college right now studying Industrial Design as my major with Spanish as a minor.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of this church because I have felt what the Savior can do in my life. I was raised in a family that were all members of the church, and so I learned from them what was important, but I had to come to know for myself why I was a Mormon. I have felt and seen the changes that Jesus Christ has made happen in my personality and in my soul, and I know without doubt that His power is real. No matter what kind of a person you think you are, He sees in you what you cannot, and He can take that and magnify it. I have received a witness and a testimony to my spirit that Christ suffered my own sins and my own weaknesses, and I know that's why he can heal me. He has done it in my past and He continues to mold me into the man that would make Him proud. There is no greater honor than to know that I am doing my best to follow Him, and because of that I have his aid and His assistance. He works miracles in my life and has worked miracles for the good of all of His children.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon I get to do a lot of things to serve and participate in the church. I was able to serve as a full-time missionary in Chile, where I helped to bring the message of the restored gospel to the people living there. I love them and miss them. I now am helping in my individual ward as a home teacher, which means I get to visit a few other people in the church community and share a spiritual message with them each month as well as help them with anything else they need. Others also provide this service for me. In the ward I serve as chair of a council in charge of teaching the gospel in Sunday school classes and other instruction. One of my favorite things about the church are all the opportunities to help other people. We often do service activities to bring food to people in need or clean up someone's yard, or just volunteer in the community to help clean up trash or visit the elderly and sick in hospitals and assisted living facilities.
