Hi I'm Zach

I'm from Washington, eat crazy food, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a relaxed and easy going person. I really enjoy going on walks and hanging out with friends. I really enjoy being outside and also watching movies. I have been on an LDS ASL Mission in the New York, New York, North Mission, and I LOVED IT! I have lived in Washington for a long time, but I was born in and moved back to Utah. I am the oldest sibling of 4. I have 2 younger brothers and 1 younger sister. I love my family very much, and I love being with them.

Why I am a Mormon

By growing up in the Church, I went through the motions of doing everything I was supposed to, but not knowing truly why they were important. As I started to go to Seminary things would start to make more sense. I started to understand why we should build our own testimonies on the foundation of Christ, and not holding onto the testimonies of others, as I have done before. As I entered my Junior year of High School, I was studying the Book of Mormon, and as I reached the point where Christ will soon be born, there is a verse that stood out to me. In 3 Nephi 1:13, it says: "Lift up your head and be of good cheer..." When I read that, I was able to realized that because of Christ and everything he has done for us, we don't need to be afraid. He is here with us. He has given us ways to find peace and happiness. Once I read that, my testimony wasn't holding on to my parents or someone else, but started to grow within me. We never need to be afraid or scared. If we put out trust in the Lord and we endure to the end we will be able to do anything! I know that as long as we stay within the boundaries God has set for us, we will be happier than we could ever imagine. Love God more than anything else. He's the source of our happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by knowing what I stand for, and living them. I know that the things I have been taught are true and are there to give me blessings. I do my best to live the commandments of the Lord, and I try to keep my mind as our Heavenly Father would want me to have it. I want to love those that are around me, and I keep a positive attitude. As I served in New York City, I was able to share what I know to be true. Being able to share what I have learned about the Gospel of Jesus Christ really does help others set their faith on the foundation of Christ. It also blesses everyone in ways no one would ever think possible. I try to love my God more than anything else, and I know that He is the source of my happiness and salvation.
