Hi I'm Kim

I am a mom of 4 children. I like to create things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom who stays at home with my 4 children. I always knew I wanted to be a mom, I never knew if I would be able to stay home with them. I feel very blessed to be able to stay home with them. Even though most days are filled with correcting behavior, making sandwiches, cleaning up messes, and kissing booboo's better, I love being a mom!! Before I started my family I got my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I like to do crafts and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon.I went to church every Sunday growing up and I loved the way I felt when I attended my church meetings. I loved forming close friendships with the other children and I started to learn how to feel the spirit. As I grew and later became a teenager I continued to immerse myself in the teachings of the church. I attended a class in High School called Seminary and was part of the Young Women's organization. It was through these programs that I came to understand my Heavenly Fathers plan for me. I started studying the Book of Mormon more intently and my prayers became more purposeful. My testimony strengthened and I knew that my Heavenly Father knows me, he loves me, and he wants me to return to him someday. I have made an effort everyday since that time, to evaluate my life and try to align it the best I can to his son, Jesus Christs life. He was and is the perfect example to me of how to have compassion and charity towards others. Today, I am a Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have restored the gospel on the earth again.

How I live my faith

Last year I started a preschool co-op where several moms who had children similar ages would take turns teaching preschool every few weeks. It was great because the kids all loved going to each others houses and doing educational activities and playing. I also worked in our church with the children ages 3 to 12. We would prepared a lesson on some part of the gospel teachings each week and present them in a fun/interesting way. I loved the look on the children's faces when they understood more fully the commandments. They learned to feel and recognize the spirit in their lives. Following the lesson there would be time to learn new songs and to sing songs they had previously learned. It is amazing what children can learn and retain. I loved the way they connected the dots of what they had learned of Heavenly Fathers commandments and their everyday lives.
