Hi I'm Lindsey

I am a true Texan. I am studying Nursing at ASU. And as of January 22, 2011 I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a person who loves to be around those that can have a good laugh! I was born and raised in Texas, but have recently moved to the great state of Arizona. I was recently baptized and am currently the only member in my family. But the greatest thing that I have discovered is that the world is full of strangers that are simply family you have yet to come to know. In my free time I love to scrapbook, hike, cook, and stay up late watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

In high school I met my best friend who had the courage and strength to share The Book of Mormon and it's happiness with me and I will always love him for that. I knew that when I met him there was something special. I am a firm believer that you can teach through example, and that is what he did. On my 16th birthday I thought that I was given the best gift by being invited to this wonderful church for the first time. But I was wrong, on my 18th birthday I was given the best gift of all, he baptized me into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And I can now proudly call myself a Mormon. I can bear full witness of the happiness and joy that the gospel has brought into my life, and can be brought into yours. The Book of Mormon and it's teachings are true. I believe that the healing power of the atonement of Jesus Christ is available to all. We were sent down to this earth for a purpose, it may not be all fun and dandy. But through Heavenly Father all things are possible, I believe that He loves each and everyone of us more than we can ever know.

How I live my faith

I believe that there is no other way to find true happiness than by keeping the commandments that Heavenly Father asks of us. I know that by doing what the Lord asks of us we can grow and strengthen our relationship with him. Reading the scriptures and saying my prayers daily, attending my church meetings, and staying worthy to attend the temple weekly has strengthened and prepared me to face the everyday trials and tribulations this world offers.
