Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and people. I learned that early in life, because I think I have the best parents that anyone could have. My Mom taught me how to play the piano when I was 8, and I think that's when I started to fall in love with music. My Dad is the most amazing example of what a loving Father should be, and helped me to understand who I really am. I love being outside, fishing, running, Halloween parties and doing everything or anything with my three brothers and three sisters. Right now I'm a college student wanting to study Broadcast Journalism. I love finding out about people and the world around me. I guess that's why I want to share it with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught by wonderful parents that helped me go to church every Sunday and eventually get baptized when I was 8. I love them for it. I can remember after a few years however, realizing that I didn't really know that it was true. I prayed a lot. A LOT. And thought about how I could know. You know, it didn't happen overnight, or over weeks or even months, but as I continued praying and reading and studying, it came, and I knew and still know today that this is the way. I remember as a 13 year old girl sitting under a tall aspen tree in the mountains staring at the biggest sky of stars I had ever seen. I think that was one of the first times in my life that I recognized how much God loved me, and how much he had blessed me. As the years pass, I come to know more and more, that the Church of Jesus Christ is the way to return home to that God who loves us so much. Life isn't easy, not at all, but with the gospel of Christ, it makes it worth living.

How I live my faith

About three months ago I got back from the most wonderful experience of my life. For a year and a half, I was called to be a missionary in Argentina. I have NEVER done anything so HARD in my life, but I've never been so happy either. We would walk for miles in the humid heat and cold and talk to as many people we could about the love that our Heavenly Father, God, has for us. Lots of people didn't want to listen, but being able to talk to people who did made it all worth it. I've found that I'm happiest when I'm helping others, and the mission definately gave me that.
