Hi I'm April Conrad

I'm a Mormon and I like to smile... it's my favorite.

About Me

I am a young single adult but I am not sure how much longer I can get away with the young part though. The number 21 is my favorite number. I want to run a marathon but am still in the training stage...seems I've been in that stage for awhile. I like to write stories and hope to one day become an author. I am a very picky eater and my friend tells me that tastebuds change every 5 years...I'm still waiting. I also love to travel! I have been to many places and love to see all the beautiful things our Father in Heaven has created. I love to be outside and enjoy a simple life.

Why I am a Mormon

The peace and love I feel each time I reflect on the love my Father in Heaven has for me is why I am a Mormon. If you allow the Master to take control of your life and take that leap of faith, you will find that he is there to catch you. Sometimes the storms of life rage and it is hard to hear the quiet calming call but I have found if I listen, then I can survive the storm. The Lord has promised us peace, it may not be the same peace that the world gives because it is a far greater peace.

How I live my faith

I heard once that a person is always "becoming". No matter who we are, we are always becoming something, whether we are becoming a high school junior, a soccer mom, or a basketball player. Our lives are constantly leading us in directions and we make the decision of what we become. Every morning at 5:30am, I get the opportunity to teach Junior and Seniors in high-school. We study gospel topics and also apply principles to everyday life. It is amazing to me to see what these students are becoming! I also love to read the Book of Mormon. If you are looking for peace and guidance in your life, it is found in reading the Book of Mormon. Please don't take my word for it, try it out for yourself!

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

April Conrad
Yes, we do and we love the Bible. I teach a youth class in the morning and we spend two whole years learning and reading the Bible. Why do we do this? Because the Bible is scripture. Sometimes people assume that because we have the Book of Mormon, we no longer need the Bible. They couldn't be farther from the truth. I like to think of the Bible as a pair of running shoes and the Book of Mormon as a pair of laces. Can you have running shoes without the laces or vis versa? Sure you can but when they work together you get the best result. We need the Bible and believe it to be the word of God. I have personally seen and felt the blessings in my life as I have studied the Bible. Show more Show less
