Hi I'm Jaclyn

I am a future mother, I love Texas and acting silly. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hey ya'll! Some things about me: I love music and how it connects so easily to your spirit. I like learning new things about myself and other people. I play the viola, I like to exercise (although my knees don't), and reading is my favorite way to pass a lazy day.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to get baptized January 2010. Looking back, I was visited by missionaries in my hometown when I was about 13. Whenever they came to the house we would chat through the screen door, because my parents were not home at the time. Eventually they stopped coming. Roughly six years later, I went on vacation where I was introduced to the church again. The whole week I was on vacation I met with the missionaries, almost every night. By the end of the week I knew that there was something different about the church. Because of the way I felt when I was conversing with the missionaries I felt prompted to continue to learn more about Mormonism. From that week of vacation I gained so much more than just a little rest and relaxation. I found my life, as if it had been lost all along. Life now is so much more peaceful. I have a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father now. And to me there is nothing in this life that has brought me greater joy. Knowing that He loves me, will teach and challenge me throughout my life so that one day I may be found worthy to live with Him in the Kingdom of God. There is no greater gift to man than Jesus Christ, our savior and redeemer.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel of Christ is a challenge for me. I am a convert of almost 4 years so daily practices have always been a struggle for me. I live my faith by studying the scriptures with my husband and attending church. One of my favorite things is to visit teach the other sisters in the ward. I find this exceptionally rewarding. I learn more from the lesson than they do sometimes but it's wonderful to get to know other women and their experiences.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely, 100% Mormons are Christians. We are the Church of Jesus CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. We view the Bible as sacred text, along with the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We can increase our faith in Christ by living the Gospel. Every time we pray to the Lord or sacrifice our time/energy. We are having faith that He will be pleased and bless us for our work. By feasting upon the scriptures and learning from prophets of old, we can better prepare ourselves for what the future may hold. I believe that having faith in Christ is essential, as well as the current leaders of the church. President Thomas S. Monson is God's mouth piece on this Earth. Having faith in his great ability to lead the church we are by extension placing our faith in Christ to know who to call to lead us in this last dispensation. Show more Show less
