Hi I'm Nicholas

I'm on a mission in Berlin. I couldn't be happier, thats what this church does to you. Oh, since I'm a missionary, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old, I love doing just about anything fun. You don't need beer to party, did Wayne from Wayne's World ever drink? No. I love writing stories and hope to aspire to be a television show script writer. I served a two year mission in Germany Berlin, and it changed my life and became a part of who I am. I have three older brothers, two are sealed in the temple and one is engaged!! I really love hanging with friends, biking, hiking, tubing, and moshing in concerts. So ya I'm way into music and am at a concert every month, Mormons can party too. Oh and my fav thing is making movies. Pray on. 3 Nephi 19:26. Also I like How I Met Your Mother, I know, I need to repent....

Why I am a Mormon

I really never doubted the church, I knew it was true by the way my parents raised me, by the way I saw my mothers' brothers and sisters families so peaceful and happy in their temple sealed families and seeing my fathers' family Christian, but not bound by the restored gospel. I was sealed when I was about 10 years old, because my father is a convert and my mothers grandparents, I love the peace we can feel in the temple. The church is so simple, and just makes since. When I read the Book of Mormon I feel the truth testify to me, and I love the Bible too, and the fact that we have a LIVING prophet, nothing upbounds me more than hearing our prophets voice. We have to hold to our testimony or it'll slowly unravel. It's there, it's real, but it's like tying your shoes, you do it once, you still gotta keep the knot tight or else it'll get loosen, we gotta cleave onto the word and keep the commandments. When I served my mission, I saw the hearts of the Germans change, I saw miracles I can't describe and experienced things I can't explain. I love this church, and I love Jesus Christ. He gets me through my hardships and loves me, he loves you, and died for each one of us. Boom. That's why I'm a Mormon, because I knew if I'd serve a mission I had to see if it was true, I visited all the other churches, I didn't feel the same at the other churches, they had pieces of the truth, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has restored all the truths. Being a member has changed me for the better.

How I live my faith

I love this church, because it's not go to church and go home and don't do what we proclaim to preach, but we live what we teach as members of the Church. We not only pay tithing which helps millions all around the world in need, but we help our communities and seek out the small and simple ways to serve. I love baking cookies every Sunday for others and visiting those who are lonely. If you're down you gotta stop thinking about yourself and think of others, then your sadness leaves and your heart is filled with the charity of God. ''When I'm down I stop being down, and I be awesome.'' -Barney. My whole life I served in quorums and had great experiences there, serving my fellow members, Great TIME! It's important to live your faith, follow the commandments and be a Mormon, but alot of people don't think I'm ''Mormon'' cause I got this crazy personality and I do the randomest things, you guys gotta realize, being a Mormon makes me happy and I feel the love of God through joy, and Men are that they should have joy.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Nicholas
No one is made to do anything in this church, it's all out of love for our Savior and Heavenly Father who've given us everything. I served a mission cause I have an eternal family, I love my family, so I left mine for two years to help others be together for eternity. If it weren't for missionaries my grandmother would've never have found the church and that means her six kids and spouses and my 35 cousins and my 2 nephews wouldn't have received this happiness. We'd be missing it. We can help our neighbors and friends partake of this happiness. Show more Show less
