Hi I'm Jared

I'm a music lover, I'm serving a mission in Indiana. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. I'm currently serving a mission in Indiana. My first area was Plainfield, Then I went to Fort Wayne, on to Bloomington, up to Carmel, and now I'm in Kokomo and I love it here. I'm a pretty big music fan. I'm always at the record store looking for new music, and most nights you'll find me at a concert. I love the experience of seeing a talented musician play right in front of your eyes. There's nothing quite like it. I enjoy collecting records, spending a sunny day snowboarding, and occasionally painting.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of this church for my whole life. But, like everyone that grows up in this church, there has to come a time where you have to know for yourself that it's true. I started reading the Book of Mormon, which was something I never really did much before, and slowly, but surely, I started gaining my own testimony. I think I've always known in the back of my mind that this church is true, but reading the Book of Mormon make me really reflect on this church and why I was a member. The decision to serve a mission has impacted my life in a tremendous way. As I've shared the gospel with others I've gained a greater appreciation of what the gospel has done for my own life and my family's life. I've seen lives make a complete 180 degree turn for the better. I love sharing the message that Jesus Christ is our savior and that he loves us today as much as he did in New Testament times, and that he's willing to reach out to us today to continue to give us guidance through a modern-day prophet.

How I live my faith

I enjoy going to church every Sunday. Taking the sacrament really makes me reflect on what Jesus Christ did for me. It helps build my faith meeting with others who share my same values. I start every morning with a prayer and reading my scriptures. As I read I've noticed my faith grow by leaps and bounds.
