Hi I'm Jennifer

I have lived in Arizona my whole life but love to travel all over the world. I'm a wife, a mother, a nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After 12 years of being a stay at home Mom with four kids, I decided to go back to school and get a nursing degree. With the support of family and friends, I finally graduated! When I'm not working I like to spend my free time doing anything with my family including watching sports, camping, listening to music, attending the theater, trying new recipes, and walking in the cool mornings with a beautiful Arizona sunrise.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so I've never been with out the gospel in my life. Sometimes because of this I find it easy to take for granted the blessings the gospel brings to me. When I was younger I questioned my beliefs, wondering if I was just following the traditions of my family or were the teachings of the church really true? I continued to pray every day and read the scriptures in my search for truth. I cannot say there was a defining moment when I knew, but instead countless small moments when a prayer was answered, or a feeling of love from my Savior in moments of hardship or sorrow. These daily experiences have snowballed into a strong conviction that God knows me and even though I'm far from perfect, He loves me! I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that living my life in a way that follows the example of Jesus Christ brings me peace.

How I live my faith

I have four amazing kids. My two youngest are 14 year old twins, born three months premature. They have had many medical challenges including a hearing impairment and a visual impairment. I remember when they were first born, how emotional, lost, and overwhelmed I felt as I had to learn a lot of new information. Now, I enjoy volunteering my time by reaching out and educating other parents that have children with newly diagnosed disabilities. I always tell families I will pray for them, because prayer can work miracles! One amazing feature of the church is the way it is organized. Everyone has a "calling" to serve somewhere in the church. Throughout my life I have been lucky enough to have callings to teach the youth and children. Currently I teach the 9 year old children about the New Testament on Sundays. I have learned so much not only from preparing these lessons, but from the children I teach.
