Hi I'm Brent

If you ask my wife Julie, I always have a project at home. If you ask my mother, I’m always having an adventure.

About Me

I Brent, having been born of goodly parents, grandparents and great- grandparents can say that their character and testimonies have been burned into my soul. I am grateful every day for my pioneer heritage that has given me purpose and happiness all my life. Eventhough I am my own person, If I can be anything like my parents, their parents or my in-laws, I'll be someone. Most importanly, I am a child of our Heavenly Father. As I try to be more like him, I know that he knows I am someone important. I have a loving wife and three beautiful children, an awesome daughter-in-law and son-in-law, plus a super cute grand-daughter! Besides being with my family and extended family, I love riding horses and hunting with my children in the mountains of Arizona. I also love attending mountain man rendezvous’ to shoot black powder rifles and traditional archery. I enjoy helping and participating in Boy Scout activities and high adventures. I own a landscape company and am grateful for my dedicated employees. If you ask my wife, I always have a project at home. If you ask my mother, I’m always having an adventure!

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony didn't come all at once like some. I became converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ a little at a time throughout my life. Yes, I learned early in my youth and I continue to increase my testimony even at the half century mark. It just seems the older I get, I appreciate more the spiritual things in life. As I do my best to follow the Savior, the Holy Ghost witnesses to me the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I attribute my testimony and who I am to those who have influenced me over the years and who continue to be positive examples to me every day. Being a Mormon helps me raise my family to be God fearing people who are Christians that believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings, and to be loving neighbors, to help those in need and to be outstanding citizens of the community.

How I live my faith

I make it a point each Sunday to arrive one half hour before church starts. I enjoy receiving a few smiles and saying hello to others as they arrive. Being there early, listening to the prelude music helps me wind down from the weeks activities and chores, and readys me to partake of the Lord's sacrament and renew my baptismal covenants with Him. Each month, I am given an assignment to share and teach a message of faith to a neighboring congregation and to testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ and his love for each of us. That's on Sunday, the rest of the week is doing my best as a child of God, to be a good example to my family and those I come in contact with each day. My parents taught me the importance of doing good to others and always be in the right place at the right time doing the right thing.
