Hi I'm Dale

I went to 11 different schools. I play the bagpipes. I'm a mormon

About Me

I'm a dad of 2 wonderful girls and 1 insane boy. I'm a husband to a wonderful woman that makes every day worth living. We recently joined the people who have experienced a miscarriage in their lives and while there are challenges that come along with, there are many lessons we are grateful to be learning. I enjoy hunting, although my wife does not enjoy me hunting. I play football, flag of course because I'm too old for tackle, I play golf, and I play basketball. I still think I am good at all of them and nobody can convince me otherwise. I love Disneyland, although I am not a collector, just a visitor. I try to take my family as often as possible. I love shopping for a deal, although I do not love shopping. If I am going to buy something, I want to get the best item for the lowest price. Whether it is a vacation, a computer, a phone, or a car wash. I take this to a certain extreme because I believe it is a challenge to find a way to get more for the money I spend.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know God has a plan for me. I know He loves me and I know that I can return to live with Him. I know that the choices I make here on Earth shape not only my future mortality, but my eternal spirituality. I am a Mormon because I love my family and I want to be with them forever. I know that His Gospel makes this possible as I live my life the way He would want me to. I know my wife and children look to me as an example and I am glad that I have His Gospel to guide me in the example I should be. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ was resurrected and we will all be resurrected because of Him. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for all the shortcomings I have and I know that it is my responsibility to make sure He didn't suffer in vain. I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it is another testament of the divinity of Jesus Christ. I know that God still speaks to us and will continue to speak to us and I want to know what He says.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon I participate in many service projects. I love helping people out, whether it is with a move, some yardwork, trash pickup, a party, or anything else. Helping others with their projects helps me stay active. I also want my children to know the joy of helping others, so I want to set that example for them. During church, my wife and I teach young children. We help them learn the teachings of the Church and keep them entertained for a few hours. I have had the opportunity to be involved in the Boy Scouts of America, youth groups, adult groups, and financial matters for the Church. I love being active in the Church. The friendships and acceptance from other members is great. There is a real sense of belonging and it makes it easier to attend meetings and other activities because friends are easy to come by.
