Hi I'm Celeste

Born and raised in Washington, but I live in Laie, HI. I'm a student, daughter, aunty, & friend, but most of all -- I am a Mormon.

About Me

Aloha! I am a college student in Hawai'i. It may sound like paradise, but wait until you hear about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. In simple terms, the church is like your favorite food in the whole wide world. For me this would be pineapple or mango or coconut or macadamia nut ice cream. If someone offered it to you, would you ever say no? How could ever get too much of your favorite thing? The ono mango juice dripping down your arm, the sweet taste of ice cream only followed by a crunchy bite of macadamias is almost impossible to deny. This is exactly how I feel about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, except times one million thousand bajillion. The Gospel is so perfect and beautiful. The Gospel provides ways to teach and enlighten like no other professor could do. The Gospel heals like no other physician could dream to do. It saves like no other lifeguard can do. It comforts souls unlike any tangible blanket or pillow can. The Gospel provides the way, the truth, and the light for this life and for life to come. The truthfulness and perfection of the Gospel is the reason I am a Mormon. I am a seeker of truth and -- I have found it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions. Since I attend a majority LDS college, I have the great opportunity to be surrounded by people who share the same values and beliefs as I do. I have committed to myself to be an example at all times and in all places. Whether it be in my dorm, the cafeteria, my classes, the beach, at work or anywhere in between, I have promised to myself that I will do all that I can to draw nearer to God.
