Hi I'm Matt

I'm a husband. I'm a mechanical engineer at an oil refinery. I'm a part time student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a ice cream contest winning mechanical engineer that's married to gorgeous and extremely talented woman. I'm an Seinfeld fan that loves to watch the show about "nothing" along with a good football game. I go to school part time for an evening MBA program and prefer numbers over words. I am a morning person that can't start a movie past 10 pm without falling asleep. I'm grateful for all that I have and count my blessings everyday. While my life has it challenges, all in all I can say life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised in the church, it is not the reason I am a Mormon today. During my first couple years of college I realized I had to figure out what directly I wanted to go in life. I thought about what would make me truly happy and knew it was finding the truth and following it. I'd didn't want to trade what I wanted at the time for what I wanted most. I found the truth of the gospel through reading and prayer. Upon gaining my own testimony I knew I had serve others and share the good news of the gospel. I was a missionary in Peru for 2 years and loved every minute of it. I enjoyed serving others and helping them change their lives as they grew closer to Christ. I've seen the miracles of the gospel in mine own life and in the lives of others. Being a Mormon is a great blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a good example in my everyday life. I often fall short, but I just get back up and try again. I enjoy serving others and that is what the gospel is all about. I try to live so that my life is a testimony to others of the truthfulness of the gospel.
