Hi I'm Ryan

I am a dad. I am a granola. I am gumby. I am a red head. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a second generation member of the Church who was taught from his parents about what life was when the gospel was not around. By trial and error and the atonement I came to know that the gospel is true for myself. Now I am a father and have little ones of my own to raise and teach. I am way too rounded to like anything too much or hate anything too strongly. I am a health nut that eats fast food every now and again. I am a cheap skate who spends big on occasion. I am a biology lover who loves languages and organizing numbers. I am a studious person that does not read much. I am a people watcher but not a social butterfly. I can't express my feelings well but see the world in emotions. I am always lost but never missguided. I am a red head that does not anger easily. I am a reinesance man in a modern age. I love to give big surprise gifts but find the smallest kiss my most prize possesion.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I can feel and see God in the world. Every day a quiet feeling whispers God's hand in the marvel that is our lives, bodies and actions. I believe because my brother lit my fire and changed it from a candle to a bond fire. I have been blessed in ways that can only be seen with spiritual eyes. I beleive in the gifts of the Spirit, in the power of the preisthood and in the guidance of revelation. There is not any aspect of God's plan for me that I question. I love to learn and teach and no where in the world is there greater potential for such than in this Church. No where do I see and experience family as it should be than in the Church. It is unique and all encompassing. Just like I feel I am as a person in the world. The Articles of Faith sum it up and the scriptures prove it for me. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet. I am a Father that can see how living the gospel protects and strengthens my children. They are so pure and innocent, the gospel keeps them that way. I know that love can be everlasting. For this and much more I know I am a child of God and full of eternal potential.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by learning what the Lord wants me to do and I do my best to do it. I beleive in the gift of the Holy Ghost. I know that it guides me in my life and in my service in the Church. I beleive in personal revelation for everything that I may need. I live moment to moment, feeling to feeling, thought to thought not worrying too much about the outcome. I love being blessed by those around me and I hope that I am of service to them back in some way. I live by trying to be a blessing to those around me. My faith and what I learn from the example of the Savior help me to trust in the path, that the end is there and the blessings are firm. I serve in a small, simple calling that does not take a lot of time. Even there I feel the impressions of the guiding Spirit that always helps in a big way.
