Hi I'm Carly.

I grew up in Boston. I was recently married to the man of my dreams. I love the outdoors. I snort when I laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am loving life as a recently married college student. I am studying Recreational Management and Youth Leadership hoping to go either into Recreational Therapy or Event Planning! I love to be with people and to help them. I would like to work with children with disabilities or at risk youth. I am minoring in Landscape Design and work at the campus greenhouse. I LOVE plants and flowers and hope to do flowers for weddings and events out of my home someday. I studied abroad in New Zealand where my love for the outdoors grew in leaps and bounds. I love to ski, rock climb, backpack and play all sports, especially volleyball and basketball. And I'm a hard core Bostonian. I love all Boston sports - namely the Celtics and the Red Sox. I love to sing (even if off tune), dance, and play the piano. And I am learning how to be a photographer. Life as a newlywed is perfect. I love being a wife and a future mother. Even though we are low on time and money, and have too much studying and reading to do we are truly happy. We don't know how life can get any better then this.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy :) It give me peace and direction in my life. I know my purpose. I know where I came from and where I am going. I am a Mormon because I know that all of it's teachings are true. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father who knows and loves me personally. I know that families can be together forever. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and the Redeemer of the World. I know that He died for all of us individually. I know that as I keep the commandments I can be truly happy and return to live with Him again. And I'm Mormon because I don't know where I'd be without the church in my life. It is the source of all the joy and blessings I have ever received.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I was the only Mormon in my high school and often it was very hard to stick up for my values. But I gained respect by doing so. I continue to live my faith by trying to be worthy of the spirit every day. I try to serve those around me and always be kind. I hope that the way I treat others allows them to feel a portion of how their Savior loves them. My husband and I are in a married student congregation and we help plan the activities that go on. I also visit two sisters in my congregation each month to make sure that all their needs are taken care of (called visiting teaching). I love these girls I serve.
