Hi I'm Andrew

I taught 1st grade for 4 years before realizing I enjoyed to eat so changed careers and now sale servers for IBM and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 5 beautiful children. Before I married I was a 6'5" 260lb 1st grade teacher, I really loved my job, I worked with many children that had little if any resemblence of a father figure in the home. It was a great blessing to be that male figure in these childrens lives. I met my wife (the Kindergarden assistant teacher) at the school I was teaching at. While we were pregnant with our second child I realized expenses were only going up and 2 + 2 did not equal quite enough. I found a job as an account manager for IBM and have been there ever since. I have been back to school to do pre-dental and than pre-chiropractic but have yet to pull the trigger on either. Going back to school full time and living off student loans with a wife and 5 kids did not seem like the best idea unless I really was excited about having my hands in mouths for the next 20 years. So for now my job supports the family that I love so Ill continue where Im at and pray that If Im supposed to do something else the Lord will show me the way. I recently went to real estate school and got my license. I am thinking of doing some investing while housing prices seem to be low. For fun I play a lot of basketball and hang out with my awesome family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to Mormon parents. I grew up going to church every Sunday and for the most part all of my friends were Mormon. I do feel extremely blessed to be born into the family God blessed me with. Im sure my Heavenly Father knew I would need all the extra help. I know I originally was a Mormon because my parents and friends were but I came to a point in my life, as I believe we all do, that I needed to know for myself if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church and if I should be a member of it. I loved my family, my church and my friends but I needed to know if it was true. I followed the promise found in the Bible and Book of Mormon, to ask God and he will answer. I asked my Heavenly Father and received my answer as I know all will recieve that ask with a sincere desire and faith that God does answer prayers. He answered my prayer, I have no doubt. I married a beautiful daughter of God in one of his holy temples for time and for all eternity. I know that if we are true to the covenants we made to each other and to God that our family will be together forever. I am so thankful for a Heavenly Father that has blessed my life so abundantly. Im grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and know that he is the only way my family can make it back to God.

How I live my faith

I have had many different opportunities to serve as a member of my church. I have been able to teach young children. I have taught men my own age. I have had opportunities to speak in front of the congregations multiple times and even have had opportunity to sing in front of hundreds of people. I have visited many in their homes and brought messages of Christ, friendship, sometimes goodies:) I spend most of the day Sunday worshiping, visiting family and those in need and spend the day trying to grow closer to the Lord. Our family spends Monday night together learning the gospel or just having fun together. I try to look for opportunities to serve wherever and whenever the opportunity arises.
