Hi I'm Kylie.

I am a jumbo-tron operator, an aspiring reporter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Broadcast Journalism with the hopes of someday working for ESPN or Country Music Television (CMT). Nothing makes me happier then spending time with those I love. Country music and Chicago Cubs are my two passions -- don't hate on 1908! (one day.....).

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints becuase I know with all my heart that this is the one and true church of Jesus Christ. I find no greater joy than reading the scripctures and being able to receive personal revelation. As I read the Book of Mormon, it is testified to me again and again, through the Holy Ghost, that the words which are written are true. Because I know that it is true, it is difficult to stray away from it's teachings. Following the commandments, standards, and guidelines that Christ has given us through this church has provided me with more happiness than I ever thought possible. I am happier when I am doing what I know to be right. I know, and am eternally grateful, that Christ, my elder brother, suffered and died for ME so that I could return to live with my Father in Heaven again someday.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always striving to be a disciple of Christ. I wear a ring everyday that has the letters "CTR" in a shield. Those three letters stand for the words "Choose the Right." It's such a simple phrase. One that is much easier said than done. However, wearing this ring everyday is one way I can have a gentle reminder each and every day that I should be striving to follow Christ's example. It is sometimes hard to stick to your own standards when others are pressuring you to do one thing or another. However, I have found it much easier to never lower my standards for anything or anyone because of the blessings and happiness that follows my decision to do what is right. One of the most significant ways I live my faith is through service. I try to offer service to people whenever I am capable. I may not be able to help everybody all the time, but I am able to help somebody sometimes -- and that can make a world's difference to that one person.
