Hi I'm Cami

I am a stay at home mom of 3. I love health, fitness, a good book, sewing, traveling and the beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 3 adorable kids. I earned my degree in Exercise Science from BYU and although I worked full time as an exercise physiologist only a couple of years, I continue to enjoy the health and fitness industry. I have moved 7 times in the past 4 years, and have been able to meet life long friends and explore new cities along the way. I love being a stay at home mom with my hobby job as a fitness instructor. Although my husband's job keeps us moving from project to project, I enjoy living a normal life by taking my kids to the park, sewing, cooking, reading, and exploring the outdoors. As a family we love to travel, our favorite place to visit is the beach!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life, and I love it. With all the times I have moved, I know I will always make a friend or two with the same beliefs and values I have. Even living far away from family, I always feel loved and accepted by those I meet at church. I love The Book of Mormon and how it testifies of Jesus Christ. I enjoy the peace I have from knowing that my family is sealed together for eternity. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I am lucky enough to work with the youth, specifically the 14-15 year old girls. What an amazing group of young women they are! They are a great example to me of what young women should be. I remember being their age and looking up to the women who I wanted to be like, I am trying to be that woman. I love my husband, he is my best friend. I love my kids, they are so sweet and mean the world to me. I love raising my kids and know I am blessed to stay at home with them. They love having family home evening, and although with three kids under the age of 7 it is short and sweet, the spirit is always there. I try to live the Gospel the best way I know how and feel blessed to have such great friends and family. I am always grateful for promptings of the spirit that put me in the right places at the right time and give me an opportunity to bless someone's life. In return I am continually grateful for those who are there to help me when I am in need. I love to visit the temple and find increased strength to live my life from day to day when I do. I have found great joy in the blessings of the Word of Wisdom and enjoy learning and implementing these great principles.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is the Lord's law of health. God has given us our bodies as a gift, and He knows how we should take care of them. In answer to a plea from the first prophet of this dispensation, Joseph Smith, the Lord revealed the best way to take care of our physical and spiritual bodies, both of which are gifts from Him. We are to refrain from substances that are addictive, including: tobacco, alcohol, coffee, caffeinated tea, and illegal drugs. Within the Word of Wisdom, God has also advised us on what we should do to take care of our bodies. We should eat whole grains, fruits and vegetables, as well as meat, although sparingly. When we do these things we are promised blessings which include health, strength and wisdom. I have a strong testimony of the Word of Wisdom. When people ask what I am doing to stay in shape I basically tell them that I follow the Word of Wisdom. As I learn more about this principle of the Gospel, my quality of life, as well as my happiness continually increase. Show more Show less
