Hi I'm Tristy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a part-time stay-at-home mom, part-time nanny. I like to sing, dance, craft, scrapbook and especially cook. I love trying new recipes but mostly bake yummy desserts.

Why I am a Mormon

I fell away from the church when I was a teenager and after a few years I just knew there was something missing in my life. I wasn't living up to something I felt. I found some friends that took me in and I visited their church a few weeks and eventually found my own. But in those few weeks of going back to church with them I felt exactly what I was needing/missing from my life. And all of the lessons taught were answers to questions that I had been trying to find. I just knew this was the answer I had been waiting for.

How I live my faith

I am in charge of making up a monthly activity for our 8-11 year old boys. We do things like build and race rockets or just playing getting to know you games. We help them pass off tasks so they are able to earn badges. It has been so great learning what these boys love and teaching them new and fun things.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

We have what we call sacrament meeting to take of the bread and water that is blessed and passed by our priesthood holders then have speakers that help us keep the sabbath holy and live our lives directed toward returning to heaven. Everyone is welcome to come to a church meeting, we have everyone from newborn babies to elderly in attendance in our meetings. And we encourage everyone to come visit. Show more Show less
