Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a working mother of four, married to a fabulous husband, and expecting our fifth child. Never in a million years did I think that I would become a mother to so many children. But, they are the biggest blessing in my life and I wouldn't change my life for anything. My husband and I have a blended family through marriage (both were married once before and both each have a daughter from our previous marriages). Since marriage we have added two amazing boys to our family and are expecting another child. By day I work as a paralegal for a large real estate company and by night I devote my time to my family. I love to craft, scrapbook, shop, cook and take naps (when I can).

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church about 6 years ago after feeling that my life was still incomplete somehow. When I was younger (3rd - 5th grades) I had gone to the LDS church with a friend of mine. My father was LDS and some of my extended family on my father's side was LDS, however, my father was inactive. I had always felt that special feeling when I went to church with my friend. When I got older, I knew that I wanted to go back - I just didn't know how. I had been to other churches and they just didn't have the same feeling about them. One day an opportunity presented itself and I was faced with the option of going to church on a Sunday and then taking missionary discussions. I was a little nervous about going. I had been "in the world" for so long and I wondered if I would feel accepted. My husband and our two kids (then) went to church that Sunday. It was amazing! I felt the same feeling I had felt so many years ago. Since the day we haven't stopped going. I was baptized about 2 months later and have never regretted my decision. I love knowing all the blessings my family and I are receiving by making good choices and living righteously. I feel the Savior's love around us at all times and can see the progress the gospel and its teachings have made in our children. Challenges don't seem like challenges anymore - but growth opportunities - always looking on the bright side. Love is abundant everywhere and can be seen even in the darkest of hours. This is why I AM A MORMON.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the 15-18 year old youth lessons each week out of the New Testament. This has been such a great learning opportunity for me. Not only am I learning the lessons each week, but I learn from the youth each week. They have such great insight and have such amazing faith. I love being with them and exploring the New Testament together. Throughout the week I try to live the basic principles and be a good example to others. I enjoy visiting with the other women in the ward and have made such amazing friends along the way. We are all in this life together and it is great knowing that there is always such support and love from my friends.
