Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Michigan and relocated to Colorado. I am stay at home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I came from a big family that education was very important. I worked very hard and got into the university of my choice. I received my bachelor’s degree in Public Health and decided to use my education to be a stay home mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church and grew up being taught the gospel. I have never really doubted the church but I did want my own testimony where I knew without a doubt the church was true. I was 14 years old as I listen to other people’s testimony of the church, the prophets, and the Book of the Mormon. I bowed my head to the Lord and plead with my Father to know if it was all true, to really know. My heart burned within me and I knew without a shadow of a doubt it was true. The warm feeling spread to my chest and body. There have been hard times and trials in my life since but I have always stuck to the gospel. I know what my life would have been if I had not chosen and now choose to live the commandments. Dark and hopeless. It brings me so much happiness to have the knowledge I do. I would never know how to raise my children to be good people with standards without the gospel. I am so grateful every day for the gospel.

How I live my faith

Someone asked me once what the most important thing in my life was. I easily said the gospel. It is my whole life every day! He was trying to separate my life from the church and was getting frustrated because there was no distinction. I get up with my children teach them about Jesus and His gospel. I pray and read the scriptures every day which shapes what I do. I try to live by the Holy Ghost to know who to help and what to say.
