Hi I'm Laura

I grew up in a family of 5 in Arizona. I am married, have 3 children and own my own company. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 3 and have a husband serving in the United States Army. We currently live in Arizona while my husband is serving in California. I enjoy yoga, mountain biking, delicious food and spending time with good friends who encourage me when times are tough. Since Sept. 11, 2001, my husband has been gone on and off for several years serving our country. This has given me many opportunities to grow and learn more about myself. My husband and I decided to buy a pain relief gel company five years ago. Since he is often gone for years at a time, the responsibility of running a growing business has fallen on my shoulders. I have loved the challenge and have been stretched to learn things I was afraid of. I have been able to travel and see many great parts of the United States! I love it! There have been many difficult challenges that come with being a business owner, a mom, and a wife of a soldier. I am always trying to find ways to keep myself balanced and moving forward. At times this is very difficult as fatigue, discouragement and sometimes feelings of being overwhelmed sets in. It always helps to remember my faith and the "big picture". I turn my focus to others, my family, my business, my beliefs and find that this always helps me turn the corner and head back in the right direction. I feel so lucky to have the family I do and the life I live!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the Spirit too many times to deny it. The gospel plan gives me guidance, comfort, a path to follow, and an immediate family and support system...but most of all, an understanding of the Savior and His role in my life. I have had to gain my own testimony over the years. Even though I grew up in the church, I still needed to learn on my own if it is true. Through many trials and hardships, I was able to feel the Spirit testify to me when I needed it most. I have felt lifted when there was no one around to lift me. I have felt knowledge flow into my mind when searching for an answer. I have felt love when I was feeling down and lonely. During all these times, I knew that the Savior was aware of me and what I was going through. The Spirit is the teacher, and I have been taught. I love being a Mormon and all that it entails. I am a better person because I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the example I lead. I want my family and those closest to me to be interested in our church because of the person I am. As the head of a company, I have many people watching me. From my employees to my customers, I am aware of what I say, how I live and how my actions may affect others. Integrity is very important to me. Being honest when I deal with my staff or my customers is top of my list of things to do...and be. It is not uncommon to be at a national convention with work and have someone ask me if I am Mormon. This is a compliment to me every time! I live my faith by teaching the youth in our church. I take this responsibility very seriously. I do know that they are watching me. I want to leave a positive mark on their souls. I live my faith by helping those around me who need an extra helping hand or a good example to look to. I am the house that my kids' friends know they can come to for a meal, a talk or just to relax from the world. This is an honor to me. I live my faith by trying to be a little better each day. It's not about being perfect, it's about learning and doing. I live my faith by doing those things that will invite the Spirit into my life. Feeling the Spirit is one of my favorite things in this life. It keeps me motivated and assures me of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
