Hi I'm Nan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When our youngest of six children was two years old, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My greatest joy was being a mother and I wanted desperately to be a part of my children's lives as they grew to maturity, married and then were able to experience the joy of having a family of their own. That was 13 years ago, and our little two year old son is now learning to drive. It has been a gift from God that I have been able to see four of my children married, and they have blessed our lives with seven grandchildren so far. I was willing to do whatever it took, surgeries, chemotherapy, and other unpleasant treatments so that, God willing, I could remain here on this earth with my family a little longer.

Why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

Likewise, my husband and I are willing to do whatever it takes so that we can live with our family again in the next life as well. I can't imagine heaven being a happy place without my loved ones buzzing around. We attend church as a family every single week and at home teach our children to love and serve others and to live lives of integrity. As a family, we study the scriptures together daily and our teenage children attend a gospel study class early each weekday morning before school. They then head to school in the right frame of mind, reminded that they are to live each day with integrity

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

If I am speeding down the road and get pulled over, even though I deserved it, I'm not going to accept a ticket from just anyone, it better be someone who has the proper authority to give me that ticket. Another fellow traveller does not have that authority. Likewise, I want to know that someone who is going to baptise me has the proper authority, or Priesthood of God, to perform that sacred ordinance. In the scriptures, God's church had special representatives who were ordained with this Priesthood power, and given the authority and responsibilities to labor among his children. Show more Show less
