Hi I'm Brooke.

I am an Arizona State undergraduate. I am a sister and daughter. I love to dance and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor degree in Family and Human Development and minored in Dance. Right now I am a Dance teacher and manager of a small studio in Arizona and love it! I also am a Respite and Habilitation provider (one who watches children with disabilities) and I find great joy working with these choice spirits of our Heavenly Father. The reason I started working with children with disabilities is because of my youngest sister. She was diagnosed at birth with a mental and physical disability. She was not suppose to live throughout the day she was born and 17 years later, she is an inspiration to everyone that meets her and her spirit radiates love and determination.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. My parents are members and I was blessed to have been born in to a family that were members of Christ's church. I was baptized when I was eight years old and was confirmed the same day. I haven't had a specific moment of where I received a confirmation of my faith in Jesus Christ, however I know that Christ and my Heavenly Father lives because of all the experiences I've had with prayer, reading the Book of Mormon and listening to the Prophet and the Apostles. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that He lives and that He atoned for my sins and He is mt personal Savior in a very real way. I know that He is the only way to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and His ministry. I know that there is a Prophet living on the earth today and that He receives revelation from our Heavenly Father on how to best guide our church. I know that families can be together forever and that death cannot separate eternal families. I know that my prayers and prayers of everyone are heard and will be answered by the Almighty God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church on a weekly basis, participating in other church meetings. I also have had a few different callings throughout my youth and while I've been in a Singles ward. Right now, my calling in my ward is to be one of the Young Single Adult (YSA) representative. This means I help coordinate activities for the Singles in my area to meet and have fun in a wholesome and inviting atmosphere. I really enjoy being apart of the "behind the scenes" work. I love the fact that I can create an activity where people can have fun and really enjoy the being together.
