Hi I'm Amy

I served an 18 month mission in Portland Oregon. I am a Substitute Teacher, Yes, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in Mesa Arizona and have all my life. I went to Arizona State University and graduated with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I love working with children, because I know I can make a big difference in their life and help them become something great. I currently substitute teach children from age 5 to 11 years of age. I love to help people and work for a nice lady that has a son with MD, helping her so she can have some down time. In 2006 to 2007, I served a mission, serving people in the Lds church as well as others not of my faith. I taught people what I know to be true, and what brings me alot of joy and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ came to save us all, if we choose to take his name upon us and follow him. He is the Light and Life of the world. He is the Living water that will quench our thirst if we partake of his gospel truths. I am a Mormon because I know there is a living prophet upon the earth, just like in the bible times, who leads and guides our church today. He is the voice of our Heavenly Father, helping us know what our Eternal Father asks of us and the blessings that he is willing to give us if we obey. He Loves each and everyone of us and knows what we go through. I speak from experience, when I say he, through his spirit, lifts our burdens, making it so we can be happy and enjoy life. Just like in John 14:18- he will not leave us comfortless, I know that to be true. I also know the Book of Mormon to be true because it is the key stone of our religion, works hand in hand with the Bible. The messages in that book of prophets that came to the Americas and have witnessed Christ, can change anyone's life and can bring you hope and happiness. It brings me comfort everytime I study it along with the bible. I have prayed for myself to know that it is true and have felt the power of God's spirit, witnessing me that it is true. Anyone can know for themselves if they take the time to read the Book of Mormon and sincerly pray to know its true.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith, by constantly serving others. That is what are church is based on is charity, which is the pure love of christ. Christ showed us charity by serving each one of us. He died for us, which was a huge act of service he performed. So in return, by following him, I look for ways to show people I care and to return my love to my Savior. Things I have done in the past are: planting flowers, cleaning a house, paint inside a house for those that can't do it themselves, help serve lunch for the Elderly at a senior center. Helps gain friendship with those you serve. I enjoy getting to know other women in my area. Some I visit in their homes and share uplifting messages. I participate in my church choir, singing songs of Jesus Christ and being uplifted and edified. You feel a wonderful spirit. I follow God by living his commandments and praying to him often.
