Hi I'm Morgan

I'm the youngest of 6 kids. I have 11 nieces and nephews. I love sports and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and life is great! I recently graduated from Graham Kapowsin High School. In school I loved to play in band. I play all four saxophones, piano, and clarinet. Band was my favorite class in high school, i basically lived in the band room! I have also loved teaching kids piano/saxophone lessons! I have played piano since I was four and I started teaching at age eleven. I love getting the chance to share my love of music with others. I also love to be active. I played sports starting in elementary school and continued all throughout high school. Being active and taking care of my body makes me happy. This is why I want to major in exercise physiology. I would love to help other people learn to take care of themselves and learn to live a healthy lifestyle. Most of my siblings live too far away so I don't see them that often, but when I do it's a party! We're all big dorks that love to goof off and have fun together. With my friends I love to watch scary movies, play group games and have bon fires. My life is pretty much the best! I have family and friends that love me and I have so much to look forward to in my future! :D

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and so I have gone to church ever since I was a baby. When I was little I just thought that it was the thing to do on Sundays. As I have grown, I have come to love the gospel. I have grown closer to Christ and I strive each day to become more and more like Him. He is the perfect example and I want to live my life the way He lived His. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me know who I am, where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. I know that I am a daughter of God. I know that He loves me and that He has a plan for me. I know that my savior knows me personally. He knows my struggles and He knows my heart. I know He loves me and that He died for me so that I could live with my Father in Heaven again. I know that I am happiest when I am doing the things that Heavenly Father wants me to do. I love this gospel and I love that it helps me be the kind of person that my Heavenly Father wants me to be.

How I live my faith

All throughout my youth I have held callings in the church. One calling I have had a few times is the ward choir pianist. I would go to church every Sunday an hour early and play piano for the choir. I loved it! It helped me keep my talents fresh while playing beautiful hymns. My current calling is a primary teacher. Each Sunday I get the opportunity to teach a class of four-year-old kids about the gospel. Most of the time it's a mad house! They like to chase each other around the class room yelling and poking each other and rolling on the floor. However there are those moments when i get them all to listen, even if it's just for a moment, and you can tell the spirit is there as I tell each of them how much their Father in Heaven loves them! Even though it is hard work, I love my calling! As a youth I lived my faith by going to early morning seminary classes each day before school, going to mutual (or youth group) on Wednesday nights, and going to church camps in the summers. Having the opportunity to participate in all of those activities helped me to enjoy studying the gospel with my friends and helped me to strengthen my testimony. Now that I'm graduated from high school and am no longer a youth, i live my faith by going to church each week with my family, and striving to do my best in my callings. I also strive to be an example at work so that I can better help people understand what it means to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!
