Hi I'm Collin

I was born and raised in Colorado. I'm self instructed. I'm a skier. I'm a musician and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born into the LDS religion with loving parents. I'm studying music and psychology in college. I was born and raised in the great state of Colorado. I attended high school in Douglas County were I played ultimate frisbee, rugby and tennis. I worked several different jobs throughout high school, including Pei Wei Asian Diner, Sports Authority, videographer for my high school football team and others, to help pay for college and my mission. Skiing and music and my greatest passions in life. There isn't a type of music I don't enjoy. I play drums and piano. I'm the third of four children in my family of six. I love rugby and baseball and any action sport (skiing is the best though). I'd rather be outdoors then indoors despite the weather and snow is the best form of precipitation this great earth has to offer. I'm a social person and enjoy meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

This church has carried me through the hardest times in my life and I don't know what I would do with it. Being a Ladder Day Saint has brought happiness in my life, but more importantly, it has brought me comfort. When things in life are difficult I have the gospel I can turn to and I know the Lord and his teachings will comfort and guide me in the direction God knows is best for me. I see and feel the Heavenly Father guiding me each and every day I live righteously. I know God has a plan for me, he wants me to live with him again and I know that is possible through obeying the His commandments and be an examle of what I believe in and stand for. I do my best to apply the principles taught in the gospel in every aspect of my life, everyday. When I do, I feel the Lord blessing me for doing so. God and Jesus Christ love us more then anyone on this earth will understand and all he wants for us is to return to live with Him.

How I live my faith

I strive to be like Christ each and everyday of my life. I do my best to live the standards of the church and stand for what I believe in by attending church every Sunday, studying the gospel and praying to the Lord daily, helping teach youth in our church, and reaching out to friends and neighbors in need. I do service for others as often as I can. I live my faith by being temperate. I'm also very open about being mormon and will answer any questions from anybody to the best of my knowledge. I try to be an example of my faith to those I come in contact with by making good and clean living.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a born in 1805 in Vermont. He was raised Christain but his family of 12 all belonged to different faiths. Joseph felt he should to join a church but he didn't know which one, if any, were true. When he was 14 Joseph asked in prayer after reading James 1:5 in the New Testament which church to join. God the Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him to join none of the churches because none of them had the complete fullness of His gospel. He restored the Lords church to the earth by translating ancient records of Gods dealings in the new world by the power of the God which is now known today as The Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
