Hi I'm Debbie House

I have the best job in the world....I'm a stay at home Mom, I'm a designer, I LOVE LIFE and I'm a Mormon!!

About Me

I love to CREATE...and it doesn't matter what it's with! I started scrapbooking when I was 27, and I've been intrigued ever since! I had always wanted to be published in a magazine...and that wish came true a few years ago, and I was published twice for cards that I created!! I love to quilt, so that my kids have something to fight over when I'm gone...ha ha I love color and laughter! I have 6 children whom I simply adore and 5 grandchildren! I LOVE being a Mother...it's all I ever wanted to be in life. I love playing with my children/grandchildren, and I LOVE games!!! You name it, I'll play it!! I love being with my husband of 18 years....I especially love our dates together!! One of the reasons I fell in love with the man of my dreams was because I loved that he was spontaneous. And to this day...he's still that way! It keeps us young, and we continue to create memories with our Family. I LOVE LIFE, and I'm so happy to have a Family to call my own!

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at age 8, but due to divorce, my Family didn't go to church. At age 14, A Young Woman President came to my door and asked me if I'd like to play softball with the other girls. That was the beginning of my re-activation. After going and becoming more outgoing in the church, I realized what our Family had been missing, and I longed for that in my own life. I couldn't wait to have my own Family and raise them in the gospel and be close...something I never had in my own Family. I couldn't ever imaging trying to raise a Family without the gospel in our lives. I'm so happy to have a husband that holds the priesthood, and to have an Eternal Marriage and know that our Family is Forever! It's not hard being a Mormon...it gives me strength when I need it, I have the Holy Ghost as my constant companion, and I can always communicate with my Heavenly Father through prayer. Being a Mormon has made me who I am today, and I'm so grateful for that!! I know this is the true church, and I love the Book of Mormon. I'm grateful to have a living Prophet who speaks to us through our Heavenly Father, and helps us to grow closer to him. I'm grateful for my experiences in the church...for callings that teach me who I am, and teach me to serve. I love serving and being involved and knowing that I can make a difference in someones life.

How I live my faith

I serve in our ward in whatever I am called to do. I read the scriptures and try to study to become more familiar with the contents of them. I have served in Young Women I attend the Temple and have Family Home Evening with my Family and we pray together. We attend church together on Sundays, and keep the sabbath day holy by doing things that would be pleasing to our Heavenly Father.
