Hi I'm Lily

Missionary in Vegas. Crimson Tide Fan. Student in Idaho. EFY counselor. Trampoline arena worker. People Lover. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the church. My parents are both converts. I have two sisters and an adopted brother from Romania. I currently attend Brigham Young University Idaho. I enjoy attending school here because I constantly feel the spirit. My major is Special Education, with hopefully a minor in Photography. Oh, and I want to go to Law School. I know, crazy. I just love teaching, creating, and arguing. I love playing volleyball, I love playing football, and I love watching Alabama football. I am a huge Crimson Tide fan. My favorite thing in the world is meeting new people. I love to meet new people and make new friends, create meaningful relationships that will last forever. My family and friends mean the world to me. I taught preschool for half of a year, and loved it. There is just something so perfect about 2 year olds, and all children. I counselled at a youth church camp called EFY (especially for youth) this summer for 8 weeks and I absolutely loved it. I have never been happier. I am obsessed with EFY. It changed my life. I just got called to serve a mission for our church in Las Vegas! I will be serving my mission for 18 months, teaching the gospel to the people of Vegas, and I cannot wait. I have been waiting my entire life for it! I cannot wait to serve the Lord for a year and a half. Basically, I am seriously so blessed, and I absolutely love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know this church is true. I have felt the spirit tell me it is true numerous times. Many people think that if you are born into the church you are a member just because you were raised in the church. This is not true. I have my own testimony of this gospel. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, he has suffered for all of my pains, sins, and afflictions. He is my hero. He is my best friend. He is always there for me. I know that our prophet Thomas S Monson is truly a prophet of God. Attending General Conference last year, I got the opportunity to be in his presence. As he walked into the Conference Center the spirit was so strong. I knew then that he truly is a prophet of God. The Book of Mormon is true. If you would like to know for yourself, read Moroni 10:3-5. and ask. I asked when I was fifteen. I asked Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was really true, and I can honestly say I have never felt the spirit as strong as I felt it at that moment. I can honestly say that I have no idea where I would be without this church. I would be lost, I know that for sure. This church has given me so much direction and truth in my life. I am who I am today because of this church, because of my Lord and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love him so much. I cannot wait til I get to meet him. I am on a mission because I want everyone to have this. Everyone. I can think of no better way to spend a year and a half of my life. This Church is true.

How I live my faith

When I am not a missionary, I live my faith by attending church regularly. I live my faith by obedience. I do the things the Lord asks us to do. I attend church, I pray, I read my scriptures, I attend family home evening with my roommates and neighbors. I look for opportunities to serve the people I come in contact with every day. I try to be better every day. As a missionary, I get to live my faith to the fullest by sharing Christ's gospel with everyone I meet. All day every day. There is nothing I would rather be doing.

Are Mormons Christians?

YES. Yes yes yes. What is a Christian? A Christian is a person that believes in Jesus Christ, and believes that Christ did in fact die for us so that we can repent and return to live with him again. He is our Savior and Redeemer. We pray and we worship in the name of Jesus Christ. He is the center of our faith. Jesus Christ is my Savior. He died for me. He loves me. He is my hero, and he is my best friend. Show more Show less
