Hi I'm Greg

I grew up in a mixed-religion household. Sports are my passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during my senior year of high school. Football had always been my greatest passion, but an injury afforded me the opportunity to get to know some individuals I probably wouldn't have met otherwise. Their faithful example immediately caught my attention, and I quickly found myself trying to find ways to spend time with them and their family. Over a span of a few months, I had the opportunity to learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the impact it can have on a family. I set the goal of one day becoming the best husband and father I could possibly be, and I knew that becoming a member of the Church would help me fulfill that dream. Family is the most important thing in my life! I am currently working on my accounting degree and hope to follow my entrepreneurial vision as I begin my career.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a mixed-religion household can lead to a lot of confusion and frustration. When questions arose, there always seemed to be different opinions as to what was right and true. Between that spiritual influence in my life and the other influences that surrounded me in school, I slowly drifted further and further away from anything related to God. I felt lost and without any identity. I questioned my worth and wondered what purpose I had in life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has taught me who I am, where I come from, and why I am here on earth. My study of God's words especially the Book of Mormon has provided me with a new perspective of the world around me. Despite the difficulties and challenges I face, I am filled with hope for a brighter future. Perhaps the most meaningful piece of knowledge I have gained from being a member of the Church is the understanding that through faith and great effort, I can live with my family through all eternity. This knowledge influences the way I interact with others, especially my loved ones.

How I live my faith

A couple of years ago, I returned from serving as a full-time missionary for the Church in New Jersey. While there, I was able to share with everyone the incredible hope and joy I have received through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While in school, I have had the opportunity to hold various church callings at our local chapel and participate in a number of service efforts in the area. I have found the greatest happiness as I strive each day to better support, strengthen, and uplift each individual with whom I come in contact. I am so grateful that when I pray to know how to accomplish this effort, Father in Heaven answers my prayer.
