Hi I'm Jace

I'm a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, author, songwriter, musician and an inspirational speaker. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I discovered many years ago that I was happiest when I was being creative, so the "normal" type of career in business, which many encouraged me to pursue, just never worked for me. My passion is music and writing, and that includes songwriting as well as writing novels and inspirational & motivational books.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I officially joined the Church right after my 25th birthday, my conversion actually began when I was 8 years old and attended my oldest brother's wedding. When the minister said the words "Til death do you part" something just didn't ring true for me, but I didn't understand why. Less than two years later my other brother got married and I heard the same words, and now, as a ten year old, it bothered me even more. I felt that when the time came for me to get married, if I loved my wife enough to marry her, then I knew I'd want to be with her forever, and not just in the romantic sense of the word, for I truly believed that we would live again after this life when we returned to be with our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, and I just didn't understand why our marriage would have to end when we died. Attending the weddings of family friends, and then ultimately my own friends I, of course, was faced with that same phrase or others similar to it, and that feeling continued to trouble me. Then a close and special friend explained to me that one of the wonderful blessings of getting married in one of the Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is being able to be sealed for "Time and All Eternity". FINALLY!! I had found the answer I was looking for! And at that moment I knew that if the Church could offer that to me, it MUST be the TRUE Church of Jesus Christ, and everything else about the Church MUST be true. Within a week I began the Missionary discussions and was soon baptized. Growing up in a strong and close family, it was important to me to have that kind of family after I got married and my wife and I started our own. Another blessing of being sealed in the Temple for Time and All Eternity is that our children are also sealed to us for eternity.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel each day has brought many wonderful blessings into my life. It gives me a sense of calm and comfort, knowing that my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ, are there for me to turn to in prayer at any time. While the answers to my prayers may not always come when and in the way I wish them to, I still know they are heard and they are answered in His time and in His way. This teaches me to be patient and have faith, especially in times of trial.
