Hi I'm David

I am a native of Arizona, a CPA, a BSA volunteer, business man, United Way volunteer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona and so was my father and mother. I have always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as I was growing up, I was always taught by good people how I should live. I learned when I was young, how good you feel when you give service, so I enjoyed giving service all my life; to the Church, schools, various charities, BSA and to my neighbors. I have a wonderful wife, ten children and 26 grandchildren which have been a source of great happiness to me. After graduation from college, I became a CPA, Controller, CFO and a business man to provide for me and my family. I enjoy gardening, spending time in the mountains, fishing, wood working and spending time with my family. I hope to grow old with my family around me so that I may enjoy them all my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life, but I follow the teachings of the Church because of the good feelings that I have when I live my religion. These good feelings came when I was taught by my parents gospel truths. These same feelings came to me when I went to Church, boy scouts sponsored by the Church and as I gave service to others. It is what I feel inside that causes me to be a Mormon and to live my faith the best way I can. I know that if others follow the same gospel that I follow, they too will feel what I feel and want to have what I have in this life. I believe in my Heavenly Father, and His Son Jesus Christ and I choose to follow them. I invite all others to understand these teachings as I do and follow them.

How I live my faith

My faith is simple: I believe that I have a Heavenly Father, and His Son was sent to earth to be the Savior of the world. They love me and they have given the world things to live by that if followed, will give peace and happiness. I have been taught this all my life and my experience is that as I follow Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, I have the peace and happiness in my life that they have promised. These teachings have made me who I am today. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me many opportunities to serve: helping youth, serving those that are in need, teaching people the Gospel, helping people overcome sin, and giving them council on how to become self-reliant. This service has given me opportunities to meet many people who have become my friends. My faith has led me to a good life.
