Hi I'm Heather

I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, piano teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mother and grandmother! I have three married children; a daughter and two sons. Two of my children have already married awesome people! I love them like my own! I have a son serving in the England London South mission and he loves it! I have two of the most adorable granddaughters in the world! All of this wouldn't be possible without my wonderful husband. We celebrated our 25th anniversary last year! I enjoy learning and take music classes at the nearby community college. I love teaching! I love kids! And, I love music! I feel so fortunate to have found my passion in this work. I love learning about my ancestors and all that they did and sacrificed for me. I also enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I cherish my faith because it brings me such peace and comfort. I believe that this very church is the restored church that Christ himself established thousands of years ago. I believe that if we try as hard as we can to be Christ-like in our thoughts and actions then we will be living true to the values and standards of our Savior. This is really the core of it all and I love it with all my heart. I believe that these Christ centered teachings help us to live in a way that will help us to return back home to our Heavenly Father. I believe we can reunite with our families after this life. This gives such purpose and meaning to my life.

How I live my faith

Our church gives us lots of opportunities to grow and serve others in the community and within our church membership. I have had opportunities over the years to spend most of my time serving the youth. I’ve had leadership responsibilities overseeing units or groups of people and I’ve also had "front line" responsibilities working directly with children, teenagers and even scouts. I love it all! There is nothing more rewarding than to nurture others and help them to grow and develop the way that our Heavenly Father and Savior would have them.
